Chaz Hunt's zoo show is built for screams. Maddie, an inland taipan, has to sit under the lights while kids yell monster. Jackie, the saltwater crocodile who talks to her like a mum, gets dragged out after she tries to save Chaz's boy from a moat. Maddie leaves with a spider, a thorny devil, and a scorpion. A famous koala comes too, foaming at the mouth from a sting. Road trip. Also a man with a dart gun.
The show: fangs, screams, 'deadly'. Jackie pulls Chazzie from a moat and staff think she is eating him; she is removed. Escape; Nigel stings Pretty Boy and he foams, so the city thinks the koala has rabies and is dead. A great white shark named Jacinta. Chaz with darts, knives, a bazooka. Maddie remembers washing out of a nest as an egg. Pretty Boy's mum was hit by a car. Chaz boxes Frank, Zoe, and Nigel. Chazzie hangs off a canyon. Jackie is waiting at the mountains.
4-6. Four is below this scale. Five and six need you for Jackie being taken, the hunt, and any snake or spider already being a no in your house. The faces are cartoon. The zoo still yells monster.
7-9. A fair try with someone beside them. Pause for the dart gun and the canyon. Pretty Boy foaming can look like a sick animal.
10-12. They can follow a break-out comedy. The 'ugly animals' talk may land as mean even when the film is on Maddie's side.
Counts are how often that theme shows up in the notes -- not when it happens.
We would not put this on for a child under 5 and leave the room. Plan to sit with them at least until 8. After that, many families can watch with a grown-up nearby rather than on the couch. The notes above say what happens. You know your child. This is not medical advice.
