P.D. Eastman's dogs, now a town called Pawston. Tag Barker is a handy pup on a scooter. Scooch Pooch has just moved in. This first pairing: they try to reach a party in a tree and end up on a mountain, then they help a new mail dog who is being chased. Bright, busy, engines.

Tag will not wait for the party in the tree. She is a handy pup in Pawston. Scooch Pooch is the new neighbour, smaller, trying to keep up. Scooter, then boat, then blimp, then they are stuck on a mountain far from the Party Tree. Second half: Gerald the mail dog gets chased by rowdy dogs, and they finish the round with a tractor. Colour, engines, no villains with teeth. The hurry is the plot.

What may feel big
Tag keeps switching vehicles and will not listen about waiting. They strand themselves on a peak. Later, dogs chase Gerald on his first day so he cannot deliver. Tag and Scooch use a tractor to get the mail through. Nobody is hurt. Chases and a high place still look like a lot.
4-6. Sit with them. Pause for the mountain and the chase. The colours help; being stuck high up is still being stuck.
7-9. Usually easy and young. Fine to skip if vehicle pile-ups wind them up.
10-12. A younger-sibling watch. Nothing here is meant to linger at bedtime.
