Emergency meeting of the He-Man Woman Haters Club. Rule one: no girls. Spanky pulls the gang together for the go-kart derby. Played as comedy; it is still a club built on shutting people out.
Theme. In-group rules teach belonging by naming who does not count. Kids who have been left off a team hear the joke as a real door closing, even when the hats are silly.
What to say. You might say: 'Their club has a mean rule. Being a friend is not the same as hating girls. We can talk about that, and we can keep watching.'
