Movie -- 2024 -- Netflix
Wallace is an inventor. Gromit is his dog. Wallace builds Norbot, a smart garden gnome, and Gromit feels pushed aside. Feathers McGraw -- a silent criminal penguin they caught years ago -- is in a zoo, hacks the gnome, and frames Wallace. Clay comedy, then a canal chase. You do not need the old films.

Funny clay kitchen, tea, and a dog who rolls his eyes. Then a silent penguin staring through zoo bars. Wallace invents a 'smart' gnome called Norbot. Feathers McGraw, a thief in a glove, turns it nasty and builds a gnome army. You do not need The Wrong Trousers. The penguin's face is the scare. The boat on the aqueduct is the big drop.
Feathers in a zoo enclosure, working out, watching Wallace's picture on the wall. Norbot's face going from helpful to wrong. Garden gnomes stealing at night. Police taking Wallace's machines. Gromit cut from a tree at the zoo and falling. Wallace and Gromit locked in a pantry. Narrowboats on a canal, then a boat hanging off an aqueduct. A splash. Clay slapstick, including a bathtub slide that shows Wallace's bum for a second.
4-6. Not a fit. The penguin, the gnomes at night, and the aqueduct are too much, however funny the cheese jokes are.
7-9. Seven and eight need you on the sofa. Skip Feathers' first zoo stare if nights are already hard. Pause the aqueduct. Nine is easier. Gromit feeling left out may sting more than the chase.
10-12. Often the right band. A silent villain usually sits all right. The boat over the edge can still make someone look away.
Counts are how often that theme shows up in the notes -- not when it happens.
We would not put this on for a child under 6 and leave the room. Plan to sit with them at least until 8. After that, many families can watch with a grown-up nearby rather than on the couch. The notes above say what happens. You know your child. This is not medical advice.
